The University of Fort Hare is an African university that is vibrant, equitable, and sustainable. It has over 15,000 students spread across three campuses and six faculties. It has committed to teaching and research excellence and we are at the service of our students, scholars and the wider community, and have been for over 100 years!
The university has five faculties:

- Science & Agriculture
- Social Sciences & Humanities
University of Fort Hare Campuses:
- Main Campus –Alice Campus
- Bhisho Campus
- East London Campus
To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet the minimum requirements for eligibility:
- Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
- Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.

HOW TO APPLY:
Online Application is free whilst the Online Application fee is R120 for South Africans and R500 for International Students respectively. Applicants whose ID numbers are already on the UFH Online Application portal must click here to download the Application Guide. Please ensure that you submit all the necessary attachments for your application to be valid.
