UCT has six campuses:

Note that the undergraduate admission requirements are different for each faculty:
Bachelor’s Degree Study
To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet the minimum requirements for eligibility:
- Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate need to pass a minimum of four subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better from a designated list of subjects.
The designated list is as follows:
- Accounting
- Agricultural Sciences
- Business Studies
- Dramatic Arts
- Economics
- Engineering Graphics and Design
- Geography
- History
- Consumer Studies
- Information Technology
- Languages (one language of learning and teaching at a higher education institution and two other recognised language subjects)
- Life Sciences
- Mathematics
- Mathematical Literacy
- Music
- Physical Sciences
- Religious Studies
- Visual Arts
- Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.
- Applicants holding non-South African school-leaving certificates must qualify for a matriculation exemption certificate. For more information please visit the website of the Matriculation Board.

- Registration for the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) is open.
Application procedure:
Applications opened on 2 April 2024. The closing date for applications for undergraduate study at UCT in 2025 is 31 July 2024. We will not consider applications received after this date.
For applicants who would like more information before applying, there is an annual UCT Open Day aimed at high school learners in Grades 10, 11 and 12, their families and teachers. This year UCT Open Day is from 10:00 to 15:00 on Saturday, 4 May 2024.
- Applications for admission to all programmes will open on Tuesday, 2 April 2024 at 12:00 SAST.
- Registration for the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) is open.
- All undergraduate applications close. We do not accept late applications.
- Applications for student housing close.
- Final date to submit the Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) portfolio.
- The last date to write the NBTs if you wish to be considered for a conditional offer by the Faculty of Health Sciences.
