Established in 2004, the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is the largest residential university in South Africa. With nine campuses located across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo, as well as learning sites in Durban and Cape Town, TUT offers widespread access to quality education.

The University has been ranked as the top University of Technology in South Africa (URAP 2016–2017) and the best University of Technology in Africa (Webometrics), reflecting its commitment to academic excellence.

TUT 2026 Online Applications

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) online application for 2026 is now open to all prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students.

  • Life Orientation and any subject passed at level 1 are not considered in the calculation of the Admission Point Score (APS).
