KZN Department of Health 2026 Nursing Training Intake

 

 

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR NURSE TRAINING FOR THE YEAR 2025

DIPLOMA IN NURSING | NQF LEVEL: 6

 

 

Minimum Requirements – Pre-2008:

(Score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)

  • Grade 12 (Std 10): Minimum 25 points
  • English: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
  • Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Physiology: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
  • Mathematics: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade

 

Minimum Requirements – From 2008:

(Score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)

  • National Senior Certificate: Minimum 25 points
  • English: L4
  • Maths: L3 / Maths Literacy L5
  • Life Science / Physical Science: L4
  • Life Orientation: L4 (Mandatory)
  • Any other 2 subjects: Diploma Pass and above

Documents to be uploaded with your application:

  • Copy of Matric certificate
  • Copy of Identity document
  • Proof of residence or affidavit
  • A signed affidavit from the Commissioner of Oaths, clearly indicating that you have not previously benefited from the Department of Health bursary system at the KZN College of Nursing

NB: Failure to comply with the above instructions will disqualify applicants.

 

Take Note Of The Following:

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified and original documents following communication from the Nursing Campus. All certificates and addresses will be verified for authenticity.
  • Applicants must come from the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
  • Applicants currently registered for studies elsewhere will not be considered for admission.
  • Applicants who are currently receiving any other source of funding for study purposes will not be considered.
  • Due to the large number of applications expected, only successful applicants will be notified.
  • Hand-delivered, e-mailed, or mailed applications will NOT be accepted.

How do I apply for academic admission in 2025?

1. Click Apply for 2025 to complete your profile.

2. Documents to be uploaded with your online application:

  • Copy of matric certificate.
  • Copy of identity document.
  • Proof of residence or affidavit.
  • A signed affidavit from the Commissioner of Oath, indicating that you have not previously benefited from the Department of Health bursary system at the KZN College of Nursing.
