Limpopo College of Nursing: 2026 Student Nurse Training Applications Open
The Limpopo Department of Health invites applications for the Diploma in Nursing (General) programme at the Limpopo College of Nursing for the 2026 academic year. This is the fourth intake since the implementation of the new nursing curriculum.
Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a Diploma in General Nursing, which allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

- Campuses: Giyani, Sovenga, Thohoyandou, Sekhukhune
Admission Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Senior Certificate with endorsement (Matric exemption) OR National Senior Certificate – Bachelor’s Degree Pass.
- Minimum 24 APS points (excluding Life Orientation).
- Must be a South African citizen.
Minimum subject requirements:
- English: HG E or Level 4
- Biology/Life Sciences: HG E or Level 4
- Physical Sciences: HG E or Level 4
- Mathematics: HG E or Level 4
- Mathematical Literacy: Level 5
Training Information:
The programme is offered at four campuses across Limpopo:
- Giyani Campus
- Sovenga Campus
- Thohoyandou Campus
- Sekhukhune Campus
Successful applicants will sign an agreement with the Limpopo Department of Health to receive a bursary allowance.
