Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) 2024 Bursary
The Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) Bursary Programme was established by the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation to provide financial assistance to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate strong academic results and would otherwise be unable to continue their studies.
The Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works to improve the lives of South African youth by providing opportunities through education and business development.
The Foundation’s history dates back to 1996 when President Cyril Ramaphosa began providing bursaries for disadvantaged students to attend university using funds earned from public speaking engagements. Based on this mission, the Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) was established in 2000.
