The University of Venda, situated in Thohoyandou in the scenic Vhembe district of the Limpopo Province of South Africa was established in 1982. The university has ever experienced tremendous growth and change. From its early years, staff members were drawn from various backgrounds in South Africa but by 1994 staff members were increasingly recruited from other African countries and overseas.
To date, the university has established itself as a national asset through its niche on problem-oriented, project-based curriculum with strength in nurturing underprepared students into nationally competitive graduates.

- To apply online, you should have a South African Identify number, Cell phone number, email address, and credit/debit card with a CCV number to pay the R100 application fee online.
- During the online application process, you may save and return at a later stage to resume the application process.
- The applicant will be required to create a pin consisting of 5 digits
- Scan and upload a copy of your I.D. document or passport, Grade 11 report or statement of grade 12 results or copy of Matric Certificate
- Complete your application by pressing the ‘submit ‘button
- You will then get a student number
