Mediclinic Southern Africa, in partnership with ER24, is offering a limited number of bursary opportunities for the 2025 academic year. These bursaries aim to support dedicated individuals who are passionate about pursuing careers in the healthcare sector and who may not have the financial means to fund their studies.
About the Bursary Programme:
- The main purpose of this bursary programme is to address the growing global shortage of healthcare professionals by investing in the education of future healthcare workers. Mediclinic and ER24 are committed to building a skilled and diverse healthcare workforce and are therefore offering financial support towards course fees for qualifying applicants.

- Nursing
- Pharmacy
- Emergency Medical Care
Who Should Apply:
This bursary is ideal for students who are either enrolling for the first time or already studying in one of the listed healthcare fields at a registered higher education institution in South Africa.
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants applying for their first year of study must submit their Grade 11 or 12 results, which must meet the entrance requirements for a Bachelor’s programme.
- Applicants already studying must provide academic results from their current programme.
- Proof of registration or acceptance into a registered institution offering the relevant programme must be submitted.
Selection Criteria:

Preference will be given to candidates who form part of the Employment Equity groups in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa.

Financial need will be taken into consideration, so applicants are encouraged to provide any relevant documentation to support their application.

Internal applicants and existing Mediclinic employees who meet the minimum criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.
Expected Outcomes:
All applications will be reviewed thoroughly. However, the final selection will prioritise candidates from designated Employment Equity groups and those demonstrating financial need.
