What the Bursary Covers:
Successful recipients of the Actuarial Science Youth Bursary will receive:
- Full annual registration and tuition fees
- Textbook, data, and general allowance
- Accommodation and meal allowance (where applicable)
- Travel allowance (where applicable)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Be a South African citizen

Be currently enrolled in one of the following accredited Actuarial Science programmes:

BSc Actuarial Science
-
BBus Science Actuarial Science
-
BCom Actuarial Science
-
BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics
-
-
Have successfully completed first-year actuarial studies
-
Achieved a minimum GPA of 70% or higher
-
Not be a recipient of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year
Important Note: This bursary is not open to Grade 12 learners entering their first year of studies in 2026.

A detailed CV and a one-page motivation letter (uploaded as one document)

Certified copy of Matric certificate

Copy of most recent academic transcripts (for all years of study)
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful bursary holders will be required to:

Provide requested documentation within 5 working days
-
Complete their degree within the allocated university timelines
-
Pass all subjects each academic year
-
Provide semester academic results within 5 working days of release
-
Submit tuition, accommodation, and related expense records

Graduate with a minimum of four Actuarial Exemptions

Commit to joining Momentum Group after graduation and contribute positively to the actuarial profession
