Posted on May 17, 2024

The 2025 Nedbank External Bursary Programme

Nedbank is committed to empowering academically deserving students who demonstrate financial need, enabling them to pursue their first Undergraduate or Honours degree. Through the Nedbank External Bursary Programme, we aim to foster the development of young leaders by providing the financial support they need to achieve their academic goals.

Purpose of the Bursary Programme:

At Nedbank, we leverage our financial expertise to support young leaders in realizing their academic aspirations. The Nedbank External Bursary Programme funds students who lack the financial means to study full-time for their first Undergraduate or Honours qualification at a South African public university or university of technology. The programme targets South Africa’s critical skill shortages, emphasizing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and Green Economy skills.

Green Economy Skills:

  • These skills are essential for advancing economic, environmental, and social well-being by reducing carbon emissions, increasing energy and materials efficiency, and enhancing natural capital.
