Department of Community Safety and Transport Management Road Traffic Management Learnership Programme

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is excited to invite applications for the Road Traffic Management Learnership Programme. This programme aims to equip unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 with essential skills for a future in road traffic management. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3000 and training over a period of three years.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Age: 18 to 35 years (unemployed youth).
  • Education: Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate L4 (statements of results will not be accepted).

Documents:

    • RSA Identity Document.
    • A Police Criminal Clearance Report (from SAPS, issued within the last 3 weeks).
    • A valid driver’s license (Code 8, 10, or 14).
    • Medical report from a registered health professional confirming fitness for strenuous exercise/training (with an official stamp).
    • Proof of residence (from Municipality or Traditional Council).

 

Other Requirements:

    • No tattoos.
    • No learners’ licenses will be accepted.

 

Important Notes:

  • No statements of account will be accepted as proof of residence.
  • Applicants who have previously participated in a learnership programme in the Public Service are ineligible.
  • No applicants over the age of 36 will be considered.
  • Compliance to application procedures is crucial, and candidates must use the improved Z83 application form, effective from 1 January 2021.
